Hey, Howdy, Hi!
I’m a fun, passionate, experienced professional photographer based in East Tennessee! I’ve lived here my whole life and I have grown to love my Great Smoky Mountains so much. I am a lover of travel and adventure and I am blessed to have a job that allows me to enjoy that even more!
Some things I value in ALL aspects in my life is Adventure, Aesthetics, and Authenticity. So, naturally, these are characteristics that bleed into my artwork! I have always been a photographer. I’ve been taking pictures for as long as I can remember! I love being able to look back at my memories and soak in the life I’ve been living! There’s something so intimate about stopping time and capturing a memory. This is why I dedicated my life to photography.
In May of 2020 I graduated from Carson-Newman University with a B.A. in photography and a minor in business administration. During my four years at CNU I spent three of them as the Darkroom Technician of my art department and two of them as the president of CNU’s art society. I am very passionate about art and the way it allows me to express myself.
I began my professional photography career my Sophomore year of college when I acquired an internship with a prestigious traveling wedding photographer and began working under him. I then began second-shooting for many photographers in the area and over the span of a year I built up my portfolio and began booking my own clients! Gaining experience this way helped me tremendously because it allowed me to learn how to photograph professionally without the pressure of being responsible for the outcome. So when it was time for me to start photographing weddings on my own I already knew what I was doing! I began creating my own business and working for myself in 2018.
Photography truly is my passion. It’s the gravity that holds my world together and without it I’m not really sure where I’d be. It allows me to connect with people and allows me to serve people in my favorite way possible. I fell in love with photography because it touches my heart in the deepest ways possible. It lets me step into moments of time and stop them forever. I believe photos are one of the most important things we can have, because one day they might be all we have.
When the wedding day is over and your celebrating your 50th anniversary, when the babies are all grown up, when that loved one has passed, when you unexpectedly had to drop everything and move across the country, when you can’t even remember your graduation day, when your baby boy brings a girl home for the first time and you can’t wait to show all his embarrassing pictures…..these are the moments that inspire me so much to serve my clients.
